Odense Youth Concert Band, established in 1950, is a uniformed wind band. The members are
young people assembled by a common interest in music.
The band cosist of 50 pubils, girls and boys, at the age of 10 to 23
years.
In addition to this is a tambourine corps of app. 8 members.
Besides march music the band works with concert music, both classical
and modern.
The band has a wide scope - from ancent church music, classical
ouvertures to modern musical music.
Odense School Band travels a great deal and has given many concerts in
Denmark, Norway, Sweden, England, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria,
Israel, the Faroe Islands, France, Finland, The Czeck Republic,Belgium,
Spain, Iceland, Poland, Hungary and Italy.
